you are capable

My friends, you are capable.

You are capable of anything and everything you set your mind too.

I beg to you that you NEVER let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. Never.

Sometimes it is hard to find people in your life (or even one person) that will support you through all your indecisive dreams and aspirations. I am one of those people. My mind goes back and forth constantly with what I want to do with my life, and that is because I never want to settle for something that other people think I should settle for. In fact, I don’t ever want to settle. I want to keep myself growing and learning every single day. I get that it’s hard to support someone who isn’t sure what they want and how to get there. I get that, and it’s tough. But people who are like me, are ready to accept the failures and ready to accept the falls. Life is one big trial and error. You live and you learn. Without failures, you don’t know how to improve yourself. Sometimes it really sucks to fail and it can really be a set back for people, and it is for me too, but once you truly realize and accept that in order to get where you want to go in life whether it be in relationships, your career, or your own well-being, you HAVE to fail. It’s inevitable. If you don’t, I don’t believe you are at your best.

Whatever it is you’re trying to be, you need to also understand that you need to be passionate about it. If you’re not passionate about it, don’t do it. Again with trial and error, you will soon find out that maybe you weren’t as passionate as you thought about being vegetarian (or whatever it may be) so then you don’t stick with it. THAT IS OKAY THOUGH.

Like I said, it is hard to support someone who is constantly indecisive and doesn’t know where they want to go or how to get there. Understand that if a person is like that, they are one of two things: 1. Their dreams are so big they are scared to try to go outside of the box of comfortability to get where they want to be and are scared to disappoint the people and to probably lose any support they already have. Or 2. They are genuinely have no interest in really about anything so they don’t know what to do. I am number 1.

Whether it be you deciding to become a vegetarian or wanting to be a business owner someday, no matter how big or small, do not stop supporting someone through it. We are scared to support people who might fail because we don’t want to see them fail. That is a normal thing. We need to understand, friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, or family members, that in order to watch them succeed, we must watch them fail. It’s a tough concept, I know.

When it comes to a career, there are many people like me that don’t want to settle because we want to learn and grow everyday. We want to be challenged. We want to figure out how we can improve ourselves today. We don’t want to be like the people that decided to settle for something they didn’t actually enjoy to do. I promised myself I would never be that person, and I think we all should promise ourselves that. Let me clarify: what I mean by “settling for something” (in this case I am talking about a career) is, I don’t want to go down a certain path because it was the easiest path to take and it didn’t require much or any challenges or self motivation to get there.

Whether you have support or not, you are capable of getting wherever it is you want to be. Maybe it means you disappoint some people, but don’t give up your life and happiness because you’re afraid to disappoint someone.

Have courage and take some risks.
